Take historic detour to McCluskiegunj, a quaint 1932 Anglo Indian Settlement set up by the English philanthropist on the outskirts of Ranchi, visit the 19th century terracotta temples of Maluti on the Dumka-Rampurhat inter-state highway. Just 30 mins off Ranchi hit a tree lined avenue leading to the red brick Ratu Palace home to the descendants of the King of Ranchi Maharaja Durjan Shah Deo.
